Curriculum.

Year 8.

Students enter Middle School as confident, capable learners and the curriculum is designed to continue the process of developing and extending their skills and knowledge across all learning areas. Students continue to be involved in a range of core classes, with additional learning opportunities provided through a range of school based and external programs that support students’ personal development.

Year 9.

Year 9 is a very exciting year at Eltham High School. It provides students with an opportunity to ‘live’ our school values. Students are able to choose subjects from a wide range of studies that have been designed purposefully by teachers to engage and challenge Year 9 students. Choices will allow students to explore, investigate, create, discuss, debate, write and perform as they navigate their learning journey throughout the year.

We believe it is important that students can undertake a course that not only suits their interests and talents, but also stretches and challenges them in areas that they may not have previously considered.

As a school, we believe that undertaking a course that is enriched through participating in some of the many co-curricular and leadership opportunities available will allow students to live the values of the school in an authentic way.
