Eligibility for Enrolment

Eltham High School has restricted student intake in line with the size of its campus.

To determine whether you can be considered for enrolment at Eltham High School you need to follow these criteria.

In Year 7 2008

You have a guaranteed place if:

Eltham High School is the closest government secondary school to your permanent home address; as measured in a straight line from your front gate to the Withers Way gate at Eltham High School.

You will be considered for enrolment if:

1. There is a sibling enrolled in another level at Eltham High School in 2008.
  or
2. You may apply using one or more of the following curriculum grounds:
• Music – the child learns or wishes to learn at least 2 instruments, one of which may be voice.
• Sport – the child wishes to participate in the elite sport (volleyball) program
• LOTE – you have a strong reason for needing to study either French or Indonesian.

At other year levels

You have a guaranteed place if:

Eltham High School is the closest government secondary school to your permanent home address (see above);

• you are not enrolled in any other Victorian government secondary school before seeking enrolment at Eltham High School
  or
• enrolment is requested for the beginning of a semester.

All other enrolments:

These are by negotiation with the appropriate Sub-school Head.
